The Yakima River Fly Shop will be leading an end of the season clean-up of the Yakima River River on Saturday, November 13. We are hoping to have a number of people with and without boats to participate. The goal is to clean the river from the Ensign boat launch to the Diversion Dam.

Bring your fly rod and do a little fishing!

Itinerary:

Meet at the East Cle Elum (State) boat launch between 9 AM and 10 AM
Pick-up garbage bags
Find a drift boat or raft or volunter to wade the river banks
Bring any garbage you collect to the East Cle Elum boat launch by 4 PM
Free BBQ at the fly shop in Cle Elum at 5 PM

Volunteer:

Volunteer your drift boat or raft - you'll be rowing other volunteers down the river
Volunteer to shuttle vehicles for the drift boats and rafts
Volunteer to bring a side dish for the BBQ (if you wish). The Yakima River Fly Shop will supply hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages for the BBQ
Volunteer your pick-up truck to haul garbage from the boat launch

The nice folks at Kittitas County Solid Waste will be donating garbage bags and the transfer station fees for all the garbage we collect.
